Arturia has released a new augmented reality (AR) experience called Augmented BRASS, which allows users to bring the legendary Roland Juno-60 synthesizer into their mobile devices. The Juno-60 was a highly sought-after instrument in the 80s and was used by many famous artists such as Enya, Billy Idol, The Cure, Eurythmics, Men at Work, and more.

The Augmented BRASS plugin uses digital controlled oscillators (DCOs) for better tuning stability and features the same Roland IR3109 filter chip as the original Jupiter-8 synthesizer. This gives users the authentic sound of the Juno-60, with its unique character and style that has been treasured in synthesizer history.

The plugin also includes a beautiful analog chorus effect to compensate for the lack of oscillator detuning on the Juno-60. The result is an instrument with its own distinct tone and style that can be used to create a wide range of sounds, from clean and jangly to high-gain aggressive.

In addition to the Augmented BRASS plugin, Arturia has also released a set of seven guitar and bass amplifier VST/AU plugins called Voltage Amps by Waves. This plugin features 400 presets designed by musicians and producers such as Butch Vig (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) and Dave Mustaine (Megadeth), as well as producers for stars like Taylor Swift and Doja Cat.
